Pawned Kitty

I was a beastman—a predator known as a black-footed wildcat.

But because I looked too cute, people either adopted me as a house cat or used me as collateral for debts because of my rarity.

Even after becoming an adult, supporting myself, and cutting ties with my father, nothing changed.

My father tricked me with fake tears and sold me off again as collateral for his debt.

But this time, the loan sharks weren’t ordinary people.

They were tiger beastmen—the most dangerous native predators in Korea.

And their leader was unbelievably rude.

He kept calling me tiny, calling me a cub, smacking me and calling me “baby” while completely dismissing me.

“There you go. Good kitty. I’ll open the can for you.”

“I’m going to be home late today. Be good and have fun while I’m gone.”

“Our baby is such a smart one.”

Yet his behavior was stranger than that of any human or beastman I’d ever met.

He was rough, but gentle.
Dangerous, yet warm.

Little by little, I started feeling guilty.
And scared.

Because I was deceiving him.

“Mew…”
